Managing different generations
Telling your employees what to do seems deceptively simple. However, in our constantly changing world, this management style has become obsolete. There is a need for complementary leadership that motivates both younger and older generations and also builds bridges between them.
An unadjusted way to lead and motivate has a negative impact on the influx of talent into organisations. In a world where a ‘war for talent’ is raging, this is disastrous. What’s more, the expectations of younger generations are increasingly at odds with the ‘old style’.
So what is the right approach? Coddle Generation X, keeping baby boomers at work, respect differences in culture? All easier said than done.
This training teaches you how to take different generations into account in a flexible and creative way and build connections between them.
Approach:
In order to capitalise on diversity and make the corporate culture attractive to colleagues and new employees, you will gain insight into:
- The different types of generations: baby boomers & Generation X & Y & Z
- Recognizing and acknowledging these generations, their expectations, concerns and worldview
- Dealing with these generations as a manager
- Leading, motivating and raising awareness among these generations
