After his education at the Plantijn Hogeschool of Antwerp, Wim Bal started his career in the industrial sector. At Refritec and Fuji Medical Systems he took up various sales positions.
Wim then continued his career at Breva (Rexel industrial solutions). Within 5 years, he grew from a sales support function to branch manager and was a member of the Belgian senior management team.
In 2009 Wim made the switch to Hallmark Cards. He started out as commercial director and changed roles to general manager BELUX until mid 2016. In this role, he was also part of the directors team of Hallmark Continental Europe. As a general manager, Wim was also responsible for the start-up and expansion of Crayola BNL, a sister company of Hallmark, specialized in creative play.
In recent years Wim has gained experience in various sales, management and board positions both in industrial B2B environments and the FMCG world, within the BNL as well as global.
Wim took an intensive Leadership & Strategy training at the IMD Business School in Lausanne and speaks fluent Dutch, English and French.
As from September 2016 Wim Bal has also been a guest lecturer sales management, sales skills and business development at the KdG University Antwerp.
Over the past 4 years Wim has mainly been active as a business consultant, coach & trainer in various sectors on both operational and strategic level.
